I have 8 month old twins and we bought a box set Baby Einstein Collection: Newton, Shakespeare, Galileo, Mozart, Monet. The Baby Newton dvd is the twins favorite. I know everyone has heard about Baby Einstein dvd's but there are so many now it is difficult to choose. Newton is all about shapes and has a catchy shape song that even my older kids walk around singing. The special features include an option where you can just play the puppet show parts and the twins love this.I limit their tv to only a few select shows and this is one of them. The shapes, colors and music are great on all the Baby e. dvd's but Newton is exceptionally interesting and keeps their attention the whole way through. As soon as I put it in they stop what they are doing and start to shake with excitement. I recommend watching the dvd with your child rather than using it as a baby sitter. The Baby e. dvd's are very interactive if you want them to be. Lots of opportunity to sing and dance along and repeat words and phrases.Read full review
This is a great game both for learning purposes and even for mouse skills. The colours and constant changing of pictures help to keep the children's attention. I think it's an ideal game for toddlers especially to start introducing the computer and teaching them basic shapes at the same time. I also use it with a 5 year old child with autism and he found it really entertaining as he loves the colours and background music! The music is very relaxing and it's also a break for us parents from the usual nursery rhymes and songs!
